Un dictador chiflado decide arriesgar su vida para evitar a toda costa que la tan temida democracia llegue a su país... al que ama con la misma virulencia que oprime. Al mismo tiempo, encontrará el amor. El argumento está inspirado en la novela "Zabibah y el rey", atribuida al fallecido dictador Saddam Hussein y supone una nueva sátira, provacadora y mordaz como siempre, esta vez centrada en el mundo de la política, del tándem formado por el director Larry Charles y el actor cómico Sacha Baron Cohen
